Jake Resume

Jake resume: co-founder of J&J Concrete, has thirteen years of extensive experience in the business. What began as summer job at Poppoff Inc. flourished into a career and a passion to provide quality service and long-term product to both business and residential concrete construction.

Initial experience began in 2004 starting as a Laborer at Poppoff Inc. prepping and cleaning tools, performing and placement of concrete and gaining his hands on education in the trade.

After being qualified by the AGC (Associated General Contractors).  ACI (American Concrete Institute) he became a Journeyman from 1999 – 2004 handling solo projects pouring 1000sq feet without supervision. Additional responsibilities included operation of a Gamco Slip Form Paver and power trowels to complete jobs such as Airport runways, dairies, and commercial floors (such as Costco’s and Home Depot’s)    These skills were added during Jake Thompson’s tenure as he rose to and Operator and was later promoted to Foreman managing a labor force of to oversee finished projects of these magnitudes.

Together with his brother Josh, he decided to establish the business of J&J Concrete.  Jake handles the excavation, finishing and placing of concrete and construction and the business development aspects of the company. As with his brother, Jake takes a very “hands on” approach with the customers. Both brothers are deeply involved in building personal relationships with their customers which J&J has become known for in the construction industry.
